A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Sandy Creek Baptist Church; burial will follow in Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty. Charlie was the son of the late Virgil Alton and Geneva Wall "Granny" Collins, and was also preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Collins, Jimmy Ray Collins, Virgil "Doodlebug" Collins, and Ralph Collins. Surviving are his sons, Jason Collins and his wife, Michelle and Derrick Collins and his wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, Mason, Brady, Nathan, and Mary Alice Collins; sister, Martha Lou Kivett, and brothers, Jackie Collins, Raeford Collins, Bill Collins, and all of "Charlie's Angels" that loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
